On the west side of the Orem Public Library and Orem City Center is the premier event center for the city of Orem, the Orem Library Hall. Programs and events sponsored by the City of Orem and the Orem Library are held regularly at this venue. With a capacity of 500, the Ashton Auditorium hosts film screenings, musical performances, author visits, and other large programs. For smaller events, workshops, and meetings, the Sorenson Legacy Room holds up to 50 participants. A large lobby contains an art gallery and lobby space for interactive programs and informal gatherings.

    The Ashton Auditorium

    Orem residents Karen and Alan Ashton donated $1 million startup money to help the Orem Library Hall be built. While originally, their donation was to create a venue for the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. After the festival was moved to Lehi, the money was reappropriated for the Orem Library Hall. The 500 seat auditorium has been named in their honor.

    Orem Library Hall Rental Agreement

    The Library Hall is available to rent for events and programs on Fridays and Saturdays. Rentals may be scheduled no more than five months out.
