Pros of Theater-in-the-Round:

• Very intimate – closer to the action than with a traditional stage; can see other audience members across the stage,
• Lends itself to varied kinds of plays and performances,
• Audience feels personally involved in the play,

Cons of the Arena Stage:

• Can’t use very realistic scenery,
• Someone’s back is always facing the audience,
• Can’t use traditional stage areas,

Three-fold Mission
The Hale Center Foundation for the Arts and Education is dedicated to its three-fold mission:

1. To provide a high quality, intimate, theatrical experience while maintaining affordable ticket prices; 
2. Furnish an excellent venue for artists to express their talents and gain valuable experience; and 
3. Invest in people by providing a positive place for children and adults to learn and perform. 

doTerra Campus in Pleasant Grove
Scheduled to open in 2024, a new 640 seat main theater in the round and a smaller flex theater of up to 250 seats is slated to replace the 300 seat theater where Hale Center Theater has been located since 1990. Thanks to a $5M donation from the Cook Center for Human Connection and the City of Pleasant Grove and doTERRA.
