Lakeside Sports Park is the completion of a 15-year dream of local sports enthusiasts. This huge facility boasts 8 soccer fields and 5 lighted baseball diamonds with grandstands and a snack bar. It has a one-mile walking loop, restrooms, and a 180-person pavilion.

Nielsen’s Grove is thought to be the first official park in the State of Utah. This park, begun in 1880 by Danish immigrant Jorgen Nielson, plays a role in Orem City from its earliest beginnings to the present day. In 2003, the park was added to Orem’s official green space when it was brought back to its former glory. The park contains a water fountain, a reflecting pool, a rebuilt carousel swing, picnic pavilions, walking pathways, a playground, parterre gardens, and a natural pond populated with ducks.

Northridge Park sits in the center of a neighborhood and features two unlighted tennis courts, a playground with slides and swings, and a large grassy play field. Its walking/jogging path is a simple oval and it has two pavilions.

Orchard Park

Orchard Park is the only park in Orem to feature a full-size outdoor track. You are free to walk/jog the track our use the walkway that surrounds the entire park. This park is a popular soccer destination, has a play ground, and 6 tennis courts. It is shared with the Alpine School District.

Orem has built a dedicated dog park just up Provo Canyon at Mt. Timpanogos Park. Instead of grass, the area has crushed granite as a base.

Palisade Park

Palisade Park is Orem’s newest edition. A large section of the former Cascade Golf Course was turned into a new city park in March of 2015. It features new tennis courts, playgrounds, pavilions and lots and lots of spacious lawns and mature trees.

Scera Park

Scera Park

Scera Park is one of the Gems of Utah County. Not only does it host Orem’s Scera Pool, it is also home to a 5,500 person outdoor amphitheater called the Scera Shell where local and national acts regularly perform. The park has two playsets, two pavilions, numerous picnic tables, and a walking/jogging path shaded by a mature tree canopy.

Scera pool is owned and operated by the City of Orem. It features many modern amenities including a children’s splash pad with squirting fountains, a sandless “beach” pool with a gradual slope into the water, several kid’s play structures and slides for variety and fun, a large open swim area, a small lazy river, two diving boards, and steep-drop water slide, and a twisting serpentine slide.

Sharon Park

Sharon Park has the unique feature of a small hill, which is often used for tubing after snow storms. In the Southwest corner is Orem’s only Pickleball Courts. A large play set completes this relaxing park.

Skate Park

Skate Park

Orem has built a skate park to provide recreation to skateboarders and prevent property damage. It is a bowl with numerous features craved by skateboarders.
